The facial expression may not agree with the celebratory nature of the parade or the flowery ornament of the garments, but in the end, will the clothes affect the person or will the person affect the perception of the clothes?
Jerome Holmes Jr. has been a photographer for over 20 years. His subject matter has ranged from professional models to photojournalism to capturing the essence and spirit of the people, communities and culture of New Orleans. We have worked closely with Jerome to compile a collection of his work that focuses on experiences, color, personality and human emotion, capturing the qualitites that set New Orleans apart from other communities within the United States.
